Sutton Women’s Centre is a local charity specialising in support for domestic and sexual abuse, we also provide other services such as English as a Second Language, Toddler Group, Parenting Classes, Support Groups and computer help. We are able to provide free counselling for women affected by domestic abuse and we also run the Freedom Programme, a 12-week course that aims to educate women about domestic abuse, the control of the abuser and the effects that have on children. We look at what women need to become free of a violent relationship and to recognise the warning signs to enable them to avoid unhealthy relationships in the future.
